In 2021, the Elise Mathilde Essay Prijs on historical science will be awarded for the third time. Although submissions should be written in Dutch, international scholars with profound knowledge of both Dutch language and history are warmly invited to submit their essays. The winner will be awarded a certificate and 10.000 euros. Furthermore, the winning essay will be distributed during the 2021 Historians’ Days in Rotterdam and send along with an issue of BMGN-LCHR.
