‘urban history’ is the largest provider of onboard lectures for English-speaking guests of river cruise ships on Rhine, Main and Danube.
Lecturer
5-10 hours per week
For the upcoming season we are looking for a qualified new team member (with bachelor degree or higher) for our pool of lecturers to cover the topic ‘Tulipmania and the Dutch Golden Age’. In spring (especially April), this lecture will take place several times per week onboard river cruise ships sailing between Rotterdam and Kinderdijk.
We would like to establish a long-term partnership with a freelance lecturer, who can occasionally travel to other parts of the Netherlands on our behalf, too.

We are looking for someone, who
- has excellent English and Dutch language skills
- holds a Bachelor degree or higher in history, art history, cultural studies (or similar)
- commits to professional preparation and continuing training regarding our topic
- has excellent rhetorical skills
- shows diplomatic capacity in political debates
- is always on time and 100% reliable when assignments have been confirmed.
