The first BMGN issue for 2021 is almost here

The latest BMGN issue will feature some current issues. Jon Verriet examines the post-war efforts by the Nederlandse Voorlichtingsbureau voor de Voeding [Dutch nutrition information service] to teach the population about a healthy diet; a topic that relates to current debates about a healthy lifestyle during the corona pandemic. Tim van Polanen describes the Dutch history of slavery by analysing the court trials of two of those enslaved who fled Curaçao and demanded freedom in the Dutch Republic. In the discussion section Philip Benedict and Jesse Spohnholz exchange ideas about Spohnholz’s path-breaking book about the myth of the Wesel Convention (1568). Additionally, in this issue you will find a list of all published articles and reviews from 2020.
